PRESIDENTS NEWSLETTER 25TH AUGUST 2017
ANOTHER WIN FOR OUR WOUND MANAGEMENT RESOURCE PROGRAM
The William Light Institute’s Wound Management Resource Program has industry endorsements from the European Wound Management Association and the Australian College of Nursing. Congratulations go to Debbie Bain and her nursing staff for also obtaining endorsement from the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) Having international , hospital based and now community based health care recognition for the course is a great achievement and certainly helps course graduates to obtain the status in work places they desire. We have also been encouraged by the very positive comments made by assessors regarding the structure, content and delivery of the Wound Management Resource Program. The William Light Institute prides itself on the quality of our courses and the Wound Management Resource Program certainly fits the bill!
Graduates of the Wound Management Resource Program may also wish to consider applying for our Graduate Certificate in Wound Management delivered for us by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Education Centre (training.anmfsa.edu.au )
Planning has advanced within William Light on new nursing and allied health courses at the short course and graduate levels. We are in discussion with industry partners and our colleagues internationally to ensure that our priorities fit with industry needs now and into the future.
The first of these new courses will be ready for the 2018 year.
